Segways Roll Through Downtown Mt. Dora

MT DORA, FLORIDA - Saturday, December 5, 2009 - The annual Christmas Parade in Mt Dora went off without a hitch this Saturday afternoon. Despite torrential rains the night before, the weather cleared and provided a beautiful day for the parade and resulted in a record turnout.

Segway of Central Florida was represented in the parade by several local residents, the dealership’s current and previous owners and members of the Segway Rider’s Club of the Villages during this celebration of the town’s kick-off to the holiday season. Also joining the Segway Brigade was Mark Hirsch, proprietor of The Chew Chew Express, a local restaurant that provides delivery service throughout historic Mt Dora on a specially equipped Segway i2.
