Segways on Exhibit at Orlando Museum of Art
"Wheels in Motion" is Theme at This First Thursday Event
ORLANDO, FLORIDA – March 2, 2010 - Segway of Central Florida will be exhibiting the Segway PT i2 and x2 models this coming Thursday, March 4th, at the Orlando Museum of Art (OMA).
From custom painted and camouflaged off-road models to flaming street machines the Segway PT models will be displayed as a part of the Wheels in Motion exhibition which presents custom cars, bikes, skateboards, scooters, etc. as well as interpretations of transportation, travel and mobility in other art media. Segway of Central Florida staff members will also be on hand to provide demo rides during a “Segway Experience” held outside of the museum for visitors to have a hands-on experience with these amazing self-balancing machines.
“Orlando’s original art party” is the award-winning 1st Thursdays presented by the Associates, the OMA’s volunteer support group committed to expanding OMA membership and encouraging the appreciation of the visual arts. From 6 - 9 pm on the first Thursday of each month, OMA showcases a new theme with works by local artists, live music, and cash bars serving wine, beer and soft drinks, and café offerings from area restaurants.
