Segways Rolling Through the Glen at the 15th Annual Northeast Florida Scottish Games & Festival

Proceeds from the kilted Segway rides to benefit Segs4Vets

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, FLORIDA – February 25, 2010 - Segway of Central Florida and the Segway Riders Club of The Villages will be providing a “Segway Experience” at the 15th Annual Northeast Florida Scottish Games & Festival this coming Saturday, February 27th at the Clay County Fairgrounds.

No experience necessary; beginners welcome! All equipment and instruction will be provided by The Villages Segway Riders’ Club in conjunction with Segway of Central Florida.

All donations for the $10 for 10 Minute rides will be donated to the Segs4Vets organization. This program (Segs4Vets) has been in operation since 2005 and as of July 2009 has given 346 Segways to sailors, soldiers, airmen and women of the US Military. The program is designed to give added mobility to those that have suffered severe injuries during combat in the current conflicts. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute a goodwill offering during the event to support this program. Please visit www.draft.org for more on the program.

This year’s games will be on Saturday February 27th, 2010 at the Clay County Fairgrounds, in beautiful Green Cove Springs, Florida @ 2497 State Road 16 West. The festival will begin at 9 AM and run until 5PM. For more information please visit the games website at http://www.neflgames.com/
